Hosted by the Waco Police Department, the Women in Public Safety Leadership Symposium (WIPS) is a dedicated space designed to empower, inspire, and connect women serving across all areas of public safety. The symposium brings together professionals from law enforcement, fire services, emergency communications, corrections, and support roles to foster leadership development and meaningful connection. Each year, WIPS focuses on advancing women in public safety careers by offering intentional opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth. Through keynote speakers, breakout sessions, panel discussions, and peer engagement, participants gain practical leadership tools, career insight, and encouragement to navigate the unique challenges faced by women in the profession. By cultivating a strong and supportive network, WIPS promotes confidence, resilience, and representation at every level of public safety leadership.
